About Us
Founded in 1986, Coqui Designs Inc was the collaborative partnership of Luke Dudek and George Cuellar.
Capitalizing on Mr. Dudek's extensive knowledge and expertise in event planning through his association with the renowned dining establishments JoJo's, Vong and Windows on the World and on Mr. Cuellar's creative talent in floral design honed in his native Central America, Coqui Designs quickly became one of the metropolitan area's leading floral design ateliers.
Using only the finest blooms imported from Holland, South America and Hawaii, each creation is individually designed in our studio to meet your particular personal and event needs.
Our creative designs have been showcased in the area's finest hotels, restaurants and retail establishments, including the Plaza Hotel, the Short Hills Hilton, Barneys New York, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, Gucci, Tiffany & Co., MAC Cosmetics and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) opening gala; and have been featured in both New Jersey Monthly and New Jersey Bride magazines.
Our event-planning services include engagements, weddings, commitment ceremonies, anniversaries, christenings, communions, and bar/ bat mitzvahs, as well as private dinner parties and corporate celebrations. Members of our design team are available by appointment for consultation at your home, office or event site.
In addition to our floral design and event-planning services, we offer a unique range of entertaining, home decor and gift items, including imported hand-milled soaps; scented candles; crystal and silver; vases, urns and statuary.
Following Mr. Dudek's death on 9/11, Coqui Designs was rededicated to his memory and has been located at it's present site since 2001.
